Cometic MLS head gasket for Chevrolet Gen‑1 Small Block V8 engines (4.060-inch bore) with 18° or 23° heads, round bore and compressed operating thickness of 0.084 in. Multiple embossed stainless steel layers form the MLS assembly; outer faces are Viton-coated and the center shim is uncoated stainless. It requires no sealants, handles aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-iron joints, resists corrosion, and evens clamp load to reduce bore distortion. AMP and Viton embossing enhance sealing and heat resistance to 250°C (482°F).
