The Cometic MLX head gasket for Subaru EJ25 series (101 mm bore) supports EJ25D, EJ251, EJ252, EJ253/EJ255 Version 1 and 2004–2006 EJ257 with a .044" MLX construction. MLX gaskets include an integrated stopper layer to improve combustion chamber sealing and require no sealants. Embossed outer layers are Viton-coated for heat resistance while the MLX stopper and layered stainless construction improve clamp load distribution without increasing bore distortion.
