The Cometic MLS head gasket for 2006–2009 Honda Civic Si (87mm bore, .051in) is a multi-layer stainless steel gasket with embossed outer layers coated in Viton for heat and chemical resistance. MLS construction uses multiple embossed layers and an uncoated shim layer to provide reliable sealing across varied surfaces, reduce required clamp load, and better distribute sealing forces for demanding environments.
