The Cometic MLS head gasket is a multi-layer steel gasket built for high-output BMW engines, specified at a compressed thickness of 0.050" and a 93mm bore. Embossed stainless-steel outer layers are coated with Viton to resist heat and corrosion while the uncoated shim center layer provides thickness control and rebound. MLS construction seals aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-iron combinations and requires no sealants for reliable sealing under demanding conditions.
