This Cometic multi-layer steel (MLS) head gasket is made for BMW M42/M44 engines with an 86mm bore and .056 inch thickness. It uses multiple embossed stainless steel layers with outer layers coated in heat-resistant Viton rubber to handle harsh sealing environments and resist corrosion.
