The Cometic MLS cylinder head gasket for BMW M42B18 and M44B19 engines is a .051" multi-layer steel gasket designed for 86mm bore applications. Multiple embossed stainless steel layers with Viton-coated outer faces offer heat resistance and corrosion protection while an uncoated center shim allows thickness variation. It seals aluminum-to-aluminum and aluminum-to-cast-iron joints without sealants and fits BMW 318 and Z3 1989–1998 M42/M44 applications.
