The Cometic MLS head gasket for Toyota 20R/22R-series 2.2/2.4L engines is a 95mm bore, 0.036" multi-layer steel gasket engineered for high-output applications. Its embossed outer stainless steel layers are coated with Viton for heat resistance up to 250°C (482°F) and require no sealants. The uncoated center shim allows thickness variation, while the MLS construction improves load distribution, reduces clamp load and resists shearing between dissimilar head and block materials.
