The Cometic MLS head gasket for Subaru EJ25 series (100 mm bore) fits EJ25D, EJ251, EJ252, EJ253/EJ255 Version 1 and 2004–2006 EJ257 using a .140" MLS construction to provide strong sealing without sealants. Embossed outer layers are coated with Viton for heat resistance; the uncoated stainless shim layer controls thickness, rebounds under load and helps distribute clamp load to reduce bore distortion and resist corrosion.
