The Cometic multi-layer steel (MLS) head gasket for Subaru EJ25 engines (EJ25D, EJ251, EJ252, EJ253/EJ255 version 1 and 2004–2006 EJ257) is a .040" MLS gasket with a 100mm bore that provides robust sealing for high-demand applications. Constructed from three to five stainless steel layers, the outer faces are embossed and coated with Viton to resist heat and corrosion. The embossed outer layers and AMP coating help distribute clamp load, reduce bore distortion and tolerate varied surface finishes.
