The multi-layer steel construction uses embossed outer layers and a stainless-steel center shim to meet harsh sealing environments and varying surface finishes. Both sides are coated with Viton rubber for heat resistance up to 250°C (482°F). The MLS design requires less clamp load and helps distribute sealing load across the combustion area.
