UMI Performance G‑Body rear frame notch kit for 1978–1988 allows narrowing the rear upper frame rails to clear wider tires. Precision laser‑cut 1/8" mild steel plates follow the frame contour with slight oversize to accommodate GM frame variances; end enclosures are included to span from the repair to the original frame. Cutting, welding and fabrication are required; the kit is weldable with a standard MIG welder.
