The Edelbrock 1/2" base-to-upper spacer kit (#8729) for Performer RPM II 5.0 manifolds includes a 7/16" spacer plus two .045" gaskets for a total thickness of 1/2", plus longer base-to-upper fasteners to accommodate the spacer. It raises the upper plenum to increase valve-cover clearance for taller rockers and helps insulate heat between lower and upper manifolds. The added 1/2" runner length can also help produce more low-end torque and the kit fits Performer RPM II 5.0 PN 7123 based manifolds.
