The Edelbrock guide plate is a stepped pushrod guide made from high‑grade alloy steel hardened to 60 Rockwell C. Sold in sets of eight for Pontiac applications, the plates position pushrods closer to the rocker arms to stabilize them and reduce side loading. Install them when refreshing the valvetrain to improve alignment and help prevent premature component wear.
