Edelbrock exhaust gaskets #7279 are built for Chrysler 426–572 Gen II HEMI V8 engines and use the EnCore HTX-900 material: a heat-resistant, high-density fiber/metal core composite with graphite-coated sheets fused to an expanded steel core. This construction gives excellent heat resistance, load retention and sealing performance for exhaust manifolds and headers, a 50% recovery rate to accommodate bolt-load changes, and a 1.84" x 1.74" port size for the specified HEMI applications.
