Cometic oil cooler mounting kit for 2008–2010 Ford 6.4L Powerstroke applications uses AFM (Aluminum Foamet Material), a chemically blown nitrile synthetic rubber bonded to an aluminum core. AFM offers high temperature resistance, strong torque retention and about 85% recovery while maintaining seal integrity. The material does not require sealants or re-torque and is tested in Cometic's manufacturing processes for reliability.
