The COMP Cams piston stop deck plate is intended for engines with the cylinder heads removed and provides a positive stop to locate Top Dead Center when degreeing a cam. Use the bolt-style stop through the spark plug hole or the plate-style across the bore as appropriate; the tool is purpose-built to aid accurate camshaft degreeing before cylinder heads are installed.
