This moly-coated wear plate from COMP Cams prevents wear at the front of the block on Chevrolet 396–454 big-blocks and Chrysler 383–440 engines. The .030" thick design helps set proper cam thrust clearance and eliminates premature wear where the cam interfaces with the timing cover and gear. It’s a direct hardware solution when converting to roller cams or addressing front-end cam wear.
