The COMP Cams CS 292A-R6 camshaft has a .900" base circle and is tuned for short 1/4–3/8 mile tacky tracks with tight corners, offering a responsive midrange suited to that environment. It complements setups emphasizing corner exit acceleration and drivability. The cam is optimized for melanized or nitrided distributor gears and will not fit 1955–1957 SBC rear journals that use an oiling groove.
