The COMP Cams CS 294A-R6 camshaft, built on a .900" base circle, targets 355 ci late-model engines with strong cylinder heads and is intended for longer-track competition. The grind favors strong mid- to top-end behavior when combined with good breathing. This cam is optimized for melanized or nitrided distributor gears and will not fit 1955–1957 small-block Chevrolets that use a rear journal oiling groove.
