The COMP Cams CS 312A-R7 camshaft is developed for high-compression, high-rpm small-block builds—ideal for 358 ci engines with 11:1–12:1 compression and an open carburetor. It supports sustained high RPM on long tracks and pairs with high-stall torque converters and race heads. Note: 1955–57 SBCs with a rear-journal oiling groove are not compatible with these part numbers. Proper distributor gear treatment is required to maintain warranty coverage.
