The COMP Cams CS 300A-R6 camshaft is a small-block Chevy race profile suited to late-model big-inch engines (377–406 ci) and is compatible with carbureted or injected induction. Recommended for 406+ engines, it favors builds with higher compression (around 11:1) seeking broad power across the rev range. Note: 1955–57 SBCs with a rear-journal oiling groove require a different cam. Distributor gears must be melanized or nitrided to avoid warranty issues.
