The COMP Cams CS 270Xos-8 camshaft targets 1/4–3/8 mile fast-track oval racing and is intended for 327–358 cubic-inch small-block engines with roughly 9:1 compression running a two-barrel iron intake and exhaust. It provides cam timing appropriate for brisk short-track performance while relying on the described supporting induction and exhaust hardware. Note: 1955–1957 SBCs with a rear-journal oiling groove need a different cam variant.
