The COMP Cams CS 295B-6 camshaft is tuned for short oval work—best for 3/8 to 1/2 mile tracks—where sustained high engine speed is the norm. It targets race setups that hold RPM for long periods and is intended for engines and support systems prepared for prolonged high-rpm operation. Note: 1955–1957 small-block Chevrolets with a rear-journal oiling groove require a different camshaft variant.
