The COMP Cams CS 290B-4 cam is built for faster 1/4 to 3/8-mile competition where strong torque and quick response matter. It performs well with appropriate induction and gearing setups. Be aware that 1955–1957 SBC blocks with an oiling groove in the rear journal require a different cam—these listed part-number cams will not fit those early blocks; contact us if you need the grooved-journal option.
