The COMP Cams CB 306B-R10 camshaft is designed for heavy-car bracket engines in the 468–496 ci range and high-compression race combinations. It targets setups running 12:1+ compression and requires a high-stall converter to realize its intent. Note that some 1965–66 396 ci BBCs have a rear-journal oiling groove and will not accept the listed cams; consult 1-800-999-0853. Use a melanized or nitrided distributor gear.
