The COMP Cams CB 324A-R12 camshaft is a bracket-race profile developed for very large cubic-inch engines from about 500–572 ci. It suits heavy-car bracket combinations and high-power applications where a tunnel-ram or similar induction is used. Some 1965–66 396 ci BBC models have an oiling groove in the rear journal and will not accept the listed cam; contact 1-800-999-0853 for options. Use melanized or nitrided distributor gear.
