The COMP Cams CB 304C-R8 camshaft is a Super Street grind developed for big cubic-inch builds and high-compression race use. It suits 427–454 ci engines with 11.5:1+ compression and works best with a 4,500+ rpm stall torque converter. Note: some 1965–66 396 ci BBCs have an oiling groove in the rear journal and require a different cam. Use a melanized or nitrided distributor gear; cast or untreated steel gears are not compatible.
