The COMP Cams CB X4 278H-11 camshaft delivers strong top-end power when matched with a high-flow intake, headers and lower gearing. It is best used with about 9.5:1 compression and a higher-stall converter around 2500+ rpm to realize its powerband. Note: some 1965–66 396 c.i.d. BBC engines have an oiling groove in the rear journal; listed cams will not fit those motors—contact customer service for the correct option.
