The COMP Cams nylon camshaft thrust button is a .810" long fiber-type insert that helps set camshaft endplay and keeps the cam from moving fore and aft. Intended for Chevrolet 265–400 small blocks and compatible V6 applications, the button rides between the timing gear and timing cover and can be trimmed or shimmed to achieve proper camshaft endplay during installation or conversion to roller lifters.
