The Exedy Lightweight Racing Flywheel for 1996–2016 Ford Mustang V8 (4.6–5.0L) replaces the heavier OE unit to reduce rotating mass and improve throttle response in light to moderately tuned racing and street cars. Made as a one-piece billet chromoly construction and offered at about 16.5 lb, these SFI-approved flywheels resist high RPM use and integrate the ring gear to avoid separation risks.
