The Ford Racing lightweight differential cover replaces the rear 8.8 in. IRS Mustang cover to stiffen the axle and protect internal components. Cast from 356-T6 aluminum, it uses load bolts to support differential bearing caps and reduce flex under load, helping prevent bearing wear and damaged ring-and-pinion teeth. Supplied with installation instructions and sealant for a direct replacement on 2015 and newer Mustang 8.8-inch IRS rear axles.
