McLeod’s Soft Lok clutch for Ford big-block 429/460 (1969–1978) is a specialist drag-race assembly and is not recommended for street use. Proven in NHRA and IHRA competition, it offers low static pressure for light pedal effort and soft engagement to reduce tire spin while retaining holding power through the run. The kit includes an adjustable pressure plate, sintered iron friction disc and billet aluminum flywheel, with adjustable spring pressure and counterweights available.
