The Mishimoto low-temperature racing thermostat is designed for Volkswagen VR6 engines in 1993–2004 Golf, Jetta and Passat models to improve cooling efficiency by opening at a lower temperature (160°F) than standard thermostats. Allowing coolant flow earlier reduces peak engine temperatures under load. The thermostat fits the listed VR6 applications and is covered by Mishimoto's lifetime warranty.
