The DBA 5000 Series Drilled & Slotted Ring for 2008–2019 Audi R8 (with iron rotor) front is a two-piece direct replacement rotor combining high-carbon cast-iron rings and T6061-T6 aluminum hats secured with NAS bolts. The 5000 Series improves heat management and reduces unsprung weight versus one-piece rotors while keeping core 4000 Series technology. The XD finish adds non-directional cross-drilled, dimpled discs for added cooling and sport aesthetics; assemblies or replacement rings and hats are available.
