The Cometic intake manifold gasket set for Chevrolet Mark-IV and GM Gen V/VI big block V8 engines is a .125-inch fiber gasket with rectangular ports sized approximately 1.750 x 2.500 inches. It uses AFM material: a chemically blown nitrile synthetic rubber bonded to an aluminum core, rated to over 250°F and exhibiting high recovery and torque retention. The gasket is made to meet and exceed OEM sealing requirements without sealants or re-torque in many applications.
