The K&N Typhoon short-ram intake for 2001–2005 Honda Civic SR (1.7L) replaces the restrictive factory airbox with a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube and oversized K&N high-flow filter to reduce restriction and increase usable power across the rev range. The black powder-coat tube accommodates the factory air-temp sensor and crankcase vent hose; the reusable filter can be serviced for up to 100,000 miles depending on conditions. Installation typically takes about 90 minutes.
